This Terms of Use shall apply to any relationship between the User and LOST AND FOUND JAPAN("the company") regarding the use of our Service.

1, 接受条款

The user must use our services in accordance with the provisions of Terms of Use.
These terms shall be applicated once the user file a report to the company and pays the reporting fee.

2, 联系我们

The contract is concluded between the user and the company when the user submits a lost item report to the Company via the prescribed form.
And when submitting the report, the user shall agree to the following conditions.
  1. Allow the company to charge fees to the user
  2. Allow the company to receive lost properties from facilities where they are stored
  3. Allow the company to perform all procedures for shipping
  4. Allow the company to depose lost properties after the storage period has expired

3, 拒绝合同

如果用户属于以下任何一种原因。在通知相关用户后,可以拒绝前款的合同。
  1. 被举报的项目是高度违法的时候
  2. 被举报的物品违反公共秩序或道德时
  3. 被举报的物品为动物或植物时
  4. 被举报的物品是新鲜食品时
  5. When the reported item includes that infringe intellectual property rights (e.g., super copies)
  6. When the company determines that there is a risk of money laundering
  7. 其他公司确定不可能签订合同的情况下

4, 取消合同

如果用户属于以下任何一种原因。
可以在通知相关用户后取消合同。
  1. 当用户违反本协议时
  2. 如果由于未知的目的地或长期缺席而没有完成交付
  3. 如果在到期日前没有完成支付
  4. 当储存期已过时
  5. 其他被认为本公司与用户之间的信任关系受到损害的情况。

5, 收取搬运费

When the company was able to find the user's lost property, pre-authorization for the handling charge is performed on the user's card and the user agrees to this.

6, 退款

Due to the specifications of our service, atypical rules are set for refunds.
Please refer to each of the following.

As a general rule, refunds will not be accepted.

[Handling Charge]
Upon discovery of your item the company reserves the right to charge you a Handling Charge.

Once the item is verified as correct, refund is not accepted for any reasons.
If any of the following cases applies to you, please submit your request using the message form in the report within 3 days after the charge is confirmed.
  1. If the lost property found was not the correct one.
    • Please provide the date and time of your visit to the facility, the gender and name of the person in charge of the facility, and as much other information as possible.
    • The company will check with the facility to verify the recipient and the date and time of receipt. If the company receive confirmation that the item was properly received by the customer, the handling charge will not be eligible for a refund.
  2. If the customer has already taken the item before the company disclosured the information to the customer
    • Refund will be provided if the company is able to confirm that the item was received prior to the date and time our message was opened.
    • In such cases, please attach a photo of the date and time of receipt(or shipping label) issued by the facility(police station etc,) to your application.
    • If you do not have the receipt or shipping label, the refund will not be applied.
    • If the date and time of receipt or shipping label cannot be confirmed, the refund will not be applied.
The following cases are also not eligible for a refund
  1. Application after the deadline(3 days) has passed
  2. If the customer did not pick up the item after the company disclosed of the location of the item to customer.
    • It is up to the customer to decide whether or not wish to receive the item, but the service has already been provided at the time of disclosing the facility to the customer.
    • the company can retrieve the item on behalf of customers, ship within Japan and ship internationally.

[Domestic & International Shipping Fees]
Please understand that shipping fees will not be refunded in case of cancellation of shipment for the customer's convenience.

the company will refund the difference due to a change in shipping method.
Please submit your request via the message form in the report by the time the packing is completed.

Once the item has been shipped, no refunds will be given except in the following cases.
  1. When wrong parcel(s) has been delivered.
If more than 3 days have passed since completion of delivery, the company shall deem that the correct item has been received by the customer and shall not honor any claim for refund the shipping fees by the customer.

7, 关于储存期

After the item arrives at our office,
the company will store it properly so that it will not be damaged or lost.

8, 储存期内物品的使用

在储存期间,本公司及其雇员不会私自使用这些物品。
然而,物品可用于以下原因。
  1. 检查是否有损坏
  2. 检查用户是否是该物品的适当所有者
  3. 当用户要求时
  4. 在本公司认为必要的其他情况下

9, 储存期过后

储存期满后,客户认领的物品将不再储存,经适当处理后,将被处理掉。

  1. 有个人信息的文件,如驾驶执照
  2. 信用卡、借记卡和现金卡
  3. 钥匙
  4. 药品、保健品、化妆品等

10, 关于货物的损坏保证

The Company will properly store the items during the period from "Arrival at our office" to "Delivery items to the courier".
If we do not store items properly and they are damaged, the company will refund the Handling Charge and Shipping Fees if they are billed.
No compensation or refunds will be made for amounts beyond those paid to us.

11, 关于丢失行李

本公司对运输后丢失的行李不承担任何责任。

我们建议使用有跟踪号码的运输方式,如EMS。

12, ABANDOMENT OF OWNERSHIP

After the item arrives at our office, if the customer makes a request a refund of the amount paid from card company for any reason(including shipping delays) and the request is received, the customer agrees to relinquish the items.
Also the customer agrees that all rights to the relinquished item(s) shall remain with the company.
